(Bjork) Hansen on September 24, 1918. Dorothy attended church and school in Keene, NE., and graduated high school from Axtell, ME. in 1936. She was married to Grant L. Johnson November 30, 1939 in Norton, KS. To this union were born three sons: Douglas, Edward, and Timothy. Dorothy and Grant lived many years in Holdrege and raised their boys there. Dorothy was born in Kearney County, NE. near Keene to Jens G. and Ida C. (Bjork) Hansen on September 24, 1918. Dorothy attended church and school in Keene, NE., and graduated high school from Axtell, ME. in 1936. She was married to Grant L. Johnson November 30, 1939 in Norton, KS. To this union were born three sons: Douglas, Edward, and Timothy. Dorothy and Grant lived many years in Holdrege and raised their boys there. She worked at J.M. McDonald Department Store in Holdrege, NE. for many years and then Becton-Dickinson in Holdrege, NE. before they retired to Rogersville, AL. She and Grant were married 49 years at his death and she lived at different times with their sons in Missouri, Colorado and Arizona. Dorothy was preceded in death by: husband, Grant L. Johnson; parents and brothers, Ingward, Marvin and Raymond Hansen. Survivors are: sons, Douglas Johnson of Mesa, AZ.; Edward Johnson and wife, Mary of Alma, MO. and Timothy Johnson and wife, Jane of Larkspur, CO.; grandchildren, Douglas Johnson, Jr., Michael Johnson, Angela Green, Marty Eickhoff, Stacey Smith, Greg Johnson and Lisa Johnson; 14 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; sisters, Viola Spors, Carol Jean Abramson, Minnie Hendrickson, Leona Jacobson, Gladys Johnson, Lily Berlie, Edna Anderson, Mary Jane Jensen, Elizabeth Johnson, and Rose Gillespie; Brothers, Henry, Stanley and Harold Hansen; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. At her request she was cremated. Memorial services will be held at a later date at Bethany Home Chapel, Minden, NE.
