She was born in Swain County March 14, 1920, to the late Fidel and Sarah Smiley Crisp. She lived most of her life in the Deep Creek community. She was a lover of flowers, birds and especially people. Her radiant smile will be sorely missed. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Daniel Morris Sr. in 1992 after 52 years of marriage. She was born in Swain County March 14, 1920, to the late Fidel and Sarah Smiley Crisp. She lived most of her life in the Deep Creek community. She was a lover of flowers, birds and especially people. Her radiant smile will be sorely missed. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Daniel Morris Sr. in 1992 after 52 years of marriage. Also preceding her in death was a son, Robert Daniel Morris Jr. in 2000, brothers, Kyle, Kent and Buel Crisp and sister, Merle Cox. She is survived by her daughter, Ann Morris Coggins and husband, Robert, of Bryson City; two grandchildren, Joseph David Morris and his wife, Tamyra, of San Jose, Calif., and Kevin Todd Morris of Asheville; three sisters, Ruth Coyle of Boca Raton, Fla., Edna Dyess of Jacksonville, Fla., and Helene Winstead of Bryson City; and everal neices and nephews. The funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bryson City First Baptist Church, of which she was a member, with the Revs. John Tagliarini and Dewey Crisp officiating. Burial will follow at Swain Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Jerry Ledford, Bobby Styles, Terry Swain, James Maney, Neal Crisp, Vernon Ledford and Bob Thomas.
