Kallay Wed in Chapel Miss Dorothy E. Metcalfe of Chicago, daughter of Mrs. R. C. Metcalfe, 104 Berkshire Rd., and the late Mr. Metcalfe, was married here on Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock in the chapel of the First Methodist Church. Dr. Fred E. Miller performed the ceremony in which she became the bride of Adam G. Kallay of Chicago. Miss Dorothy Simms of Chicago was maid of honor, and Calvin Johnson of Evanston, 111., served as best man. The couple will reside in Chicago. The bride is a nurse at Presbyterian Hospital, where she took her training, and the groom is a draftsman. 08 Jun 1984 in Clinton, Island County, Washington, at the age of 72 Years, 11 Months, & 5 Days, Dorothy Elizabeth Kallay passed away. The former Dorothy Elizabeth Metcalfe was born in Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, the only child to Lillie May Binning and Roscoe Clifford Metcalfe. Here she was raised and graduated from West High School in Waterloo, Iowa. Dorothy continued her education in the Presbyterian Hospital School for Nurses in Chicago, Cook county, Illinois. She was a Registered Nurse for UPS (Metro-Chicago) from 3-23-1961 until she retired on 9-13-1976. While working in Chicago as a nurse, Dorothy Elizabeth Metcalfe met Adam George Kallay, a native Chicago Engineer, Draftsman, Inventor & Model Maker. They were married on August 22, 1953 in her hometown of Waterloo, Iowa. After retirement, Dorothy & Adam Kallay moved to Washington State. Dorothy Elizabeth Metcalfe Kallay was preceded in death by her dear parents, aunts: Mattie Binning Diesch, Gertrude Sophia Binning Rohr & uncle Albert Louis Binning. Those left to honor her memory are, her devoted husband of 31 years, Adam George Kallay, numerous cousins and a large circle of friends. Dorothy was laid to rest in home town with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.
