She was born on June 1, 1912, in Ottumwa to Thomas F. and Mayme Johnson Michael. She married Floyd Francis Dyer on June 27, 1931 in Ottumwa. She was a member of the Willard Street United Methodist Church, Mary Circle, and United Methodist Women. She is survived by two sons, Robert and David, both of Ottumwa; two daughters, Gloria Ives of Blakesburg and Linda Butler of Onalaska, Wis.; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Fran Michael of Ottumwa. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Harold Dyer; a daughter, Sharon Johnson; a sister, Garnett Ersland; a brother, Ed Michael; and a grandson. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Willard Street United Methodist Church, the Rev. Donald O. Callen officiating, Burial will be in the Shaul Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. today at the Alexander-Johnson Funeral Chapel. The family will be present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the Willard Street United Methodist Church.
