Holdgrafer, daughter of John and Grace (Minor) Holdgrafer, was born May 15, 1936 in Williams. She was a 1954 graduate of Williams High School. On Feb 12, 1956 she married Norman Van Langen at Kamrar. She helped her husband farm and was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Cynthia Ellingson and husband Scott, Alden; two sons, Dan Van Langen, and Tom VanLangen and wife Amy, all of Alden; five grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Holdgrafer, Sacramento, Calif., Richard Holdgrafer, Radcliffe and Dennis Holdgrafer, Williams; and two sisters, Margaret Bolden, Webster City and Florence Klein, Randall. Mrs. Van Langen was a member of the United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. She was also a member of Merry Mates of church, was a past 4-H leader, and a member of the Harmony Club of Alden and the Birthday Club.
