Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 30, in the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Orangeburg, with the Rev. Dallas Redding, the Rev. Michael Watson, and the Rev. Hugh Garrell officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg, directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg. Hugh Garrell officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Orangeburg, directed by Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg. Active pallbearers will be Chad Yongue, Donnie "Boot" Bell, Freddie Ford, Steve Bolt, Gale Bell and Wally Weathers. She was born July 10, 1942, in Orangeburg, the daughter of the late Wesley Eugene Gray Sr. and the late Janie Myers Gray. She was a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church and a South Carolina State employee. She was the widow of the late James "Jimmy" Parker and was preceded in death by a brother, Larry B. Gray. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Tim Guest of Boiling Springs; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kurt and Tammy Parker of Knoxville, Tenn., Kevin and Kelly Parker of Inman; one sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Julian Cumbee of Orangeburg; one brother and sister-in-law, W. E. "Wes" and Gayle Gray of Lexington; five grandchildren, Jamie Smoak, Alexis Parker, Gray Parker, Taylor Parker, and Aerin Parker; two step-grandchildren, Zach Guest and Alex Guest; a number of nieces and one great-niece. Friends may call at the residence of Linda and Julian Cumbee, Orangeburg and at the funeral home. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. of Orangeburg. Memorials may be made to Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 727 Waterspring Road, Orangeburg, SC 29118 or to the American Cancer Society, SC Division, 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia, SC 29210.
