Dorothy was born May 1, 1944, in Portsmouth, Iowa, to the late Carl and Helen (Leinen) Stein, and graduated from school there. She lived many years in Council Bluffs and worked at Kelly’s Carpet and also worked as a seamstress. Dorothy was an avid bridge player and former bowler. Survivors include her children, Deanna (John) Fuller, of Omaha, Jeff Gross, of Council Bluffs, Kristine (Chris) Russmann, of Glenwood; their father, Dave Gross, of Omaha; grandchildren, Johnny and James Fuller, Maggie, Allie and Rylie Russmann; brothers, Alfred (Jeannie) Stein, Pete (Patty) Stein, Carl (Sandy) Stein, Bill (Laurie) Stein, Kenny (Julie) Stein, Larry (Carol) Stein, Paul (Denise) Stein; sisters, Patricia (Randy) Pash, Mary (John) Murtaugh; sister-in-law, Darla Stein; many nieces and nephews. Prayer service, Friday, 5 p.m., followed by visitation until 8 p.m., at Cutler-O’Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, in Portsmouth, Iowa, followed by burial in the church cemetery. Luncheon will follow in church hall. ---
