Born April 27, 1949 in Bennettsville, she was a daughter of the late Prentiss and Katherine Folk Pruitt. Mrs. Ingalls attended First United Methodist Church and was a pre-school teacher with First United Methodist Church and the First Presbyterian Church of Bennettsville. She loved the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, spending time at the beach and scrap booking, but most of all she loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Dot was preceded in death by her parents, listed above, and brothers, Melton and Richard Pruitt. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, George, of 48 years; son, George Ingalls, Jr. (Martha) of Bennettsville; daughters, Tammy Ingalls Norman ( Bryon), of Nichols, SC and Michelle Ingalls Friedlander (Andy), of Cary, NC; a brother, Ebbie Pruitt of Bennettsville; sisters, Betty Pruitt Usher of Bennettsville, Patricia Pruitt Taylor (Tex) of Bennettsville and Bonnie Pruitt Beard (Robbie) of Ranger, GA; grandchildren, Whitney Johnson, George " Trey" Ingalls, III, Dusty Ingalls, Georgia Ingalls, Taylor, Bryce and Ava Friedlander; and one great-grandchild, Jackson Norman. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Day Care, P.O. Box 456, Bennettsville, SC, 29512.
