Description	:	Dorothy I. Horstman, 84, formerly of Bonaparte died at 5:48 A.M. Saturday May 30, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society-Van Buren, Keosauqua where she had resided since January, 2013. She was born November 11, 1930 in rural Bonaparte to Phillip and Emma Grace Miller Horstman, graduated from Bonaparte High School, and served many years as a secretary in the Bonaparte and Harmony Schools and as secretary of both school boards. Dorothy was a member of Bonaparte United Church and Chapter AB, P.E.O., Bonaparte. Her hobbies were crocheting, raising flowers and studying genealogy. Dorothy was a member of Bonaparte United Church and Chapter AB, P.E.O., Bonaparte. Her hobbies were crocheting, raising flowers and studying genealogy. Surviving are a sister-in-law, Alice Horstman of Denmark, two nephews, Gary Horstman of Ft. Madison and Kenny Horstman (Candy) of Bonaparte, three nieces, Susie Campbell (Bruce) of Maricopa, AZ, Kathy Van Winkle of Hillsboro and Lori Bank (Lloyd) of Salem, several great-nieces and nephews and a great-great-niece. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Harlan and Harold Horstman. In accord with her wishes her body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday June 6, 2015 at Pedrick Funeral Home, Keosauqua with Rev. Goldie Laymon officiating. Visitation with family present will be from 9:30 -10:30 A.M. Saturday prior to the service. Burial of cremains will be in White Cemetery north of Bonaparte. Memorials to White Cemetery may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at P.O. Box 14, Bonaparte, IA 52620
