Description	:	Dorothy Irene Clark of Fremont died Nov. 22. 2006. at the age of 84. She was born Sept. ll. 1922 in Keokuk County near Sigourney to Frank and Elsie May Bensmiller Pfannebeck. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1940 and taught in the rural schools of Keokuk. Jefferson and Wapello counties. She received a B A. degree from William Penn College and a M A. degree in education from Northeast Missouri State College. She was also a life member of the National Education Association. She was born Sept. ll. 1922 in Keokuk County near Sigourney to Frank and Elsie May Bensmiller Pfannebeck. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1940 and taught in the rural schools of Keokuk. Jefferson and Wapello counties. She received a B A. degree from William Penn College and a M A. degree in education from Northeast Missouri State College. She was also a life member of the National Education Association. She retired from teaching in 1986 after teaching for 35 years; the last 23 years being in Ottumwa. She was a member of the Central United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. On June 15, 1941 she married Keith Ward Clark. They became the parents of two children, one son, Leland of Fremont and one daughter, Kathy of Tempe. Ari. Also surviving are four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister. Jeanine Klett of Cedar Rapids; and one brother. Kenneth Pfannebecker of Sigourney; and several nieces and nephew's. As per her wishes, Dorothy has been cremated. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006 at The Shrine of Memories Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Robert Dean officiating. The ashes will be placed in a niche in the Memorial Lawn Mausoleum.
