Description	:	Dorothy J. Petersen, 87, of Clinton, died on Sunday at Westwing Place in DeWitt. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Clinton, with the Rev. Jennifer Henry officiating. Burial will follow in Elvira Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Home and from 9:30 a.m. to service time Friday at the church. Pallbearers will be Kent and Kyle Bennis, Douglas and Daryn Cain, Brigham and Abram Tubbs and Theodore Myatt. She married William D. Petersen on March 17, 1937, in Clinton. He died in 1980. She was a 1936 graduate of Miles High School. She worked as a sales clerk for more than 30 years for Guzzardo's and Sears. She was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church and the Zion Women's Circle Organization as well as the Hawthorn P.T.A. She was preceded in death by; her parents, husband, two great-grandchildren, one brother and one sister.
