She moved to Beatrice in 1939 and was an apprentice at Woods Beauty Shop. She was a licensed beautician for 53 years. She married Elmer Emal on September 19, 1939 at Geneva, Nebraska. Survivors include two sisters, Evelyn Korte of Albuquerque, New Mexico and Bethel Winkle of Thatcher, Arizona. Two brothers, Ron Willet and wife Sharon of Estes Park, Colorado and Richard Willet and wife Alyce of Beatrice. Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Gertie Vryheid Willet, husband Elmer who died November 29, 1997 three brothers Jesse, Roy and Donald Willet and one sister Goldie Willet. Funeral services will be Monday, May 8, 2006 at 10:00 A.M. at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice, Nebraska with Rev. David A. Bigley officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Home Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the American Heart Association with the Fox Funeral Home in charge. The body will lie in state at the Fox Funeral Home of Beatrice until time of services.
