Description	:	Dorothy L. Daniel, 86, of Fremont died Wednesday, April 3, 2013, at Shalimar Gardens Memorial Support in Fremont. She was born Oct. 5, 1926, in Saline County to John and Lydia (Boekel) Kemper. She grew up on a farm on the West Blue River, near Crete, and attended Crete High School. She married Arnold Daniel on Nov. 14, 1944, at West Blue Church in Crete. The couple moved to West Point, and then to Fremont in 1952. Arnold died April 13, 2011. The couple moved to West Point, and then to Fremont in 1952. Arnold died April 13, 2011. Dorothy was previously employed at Green's Greenhouses, for Dr. Paul R. Todd Optometry and at Hy-Vee Grocery, all in Fremont. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church in Fremont and had been a Red Cross volunteer at Fremont Area Medical Center for over 40 years. She is survived by her daughter, Katie Daniel of Canmore, Alberta, Canada; and sister, Helen Anderson of Seward. She also was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ruth Rueger and Alberta Balderson; and a brother, Carl Kemper. A memorial service will be at the Evangelical Free Church in Fremont with the Rev. Chad Knudson officiating. There is no visitation. Private burial will be in West Blue Cemetery near Crete. Donations in her memory may be given to the West Blue Cemetery Association. Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
