Preceeded in death by husbands John Stockler and Robert Holmes and sons David, Dana and Ben Stockler; brother, Bill Lackey and sister, Eileen Lackey. Dorothy was born in Cairo, OH and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Merrillville. She was retired from Tepe's and had worked as a secretary at First Presbyterian Church. Dorothy loved to cook, travel and spend time with her family. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. followed by a Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville (8178 Cline Ave.; Schererville, IN 46375). A private burial service will take place in Cairo, OH. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Harbor Light Hospice and Wittenberg Village for their support in her final days.
