Description	:	Mrs. Dorothy L. Visser, 79, of Bussey, died July 17, 2012, at Hospice of Pella Comfort House. Dorothy Lucille was born Oct. 15, 1932, at the home of her parents, Leroy Reece"Roy"McWilliams and Lucille May Littejohn, in Garfield Township, Mahaska County. She met the love of her life, Donald Lee Visser, at a 4-H meeting in 1948. They were married March 5, 1950, at the United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa by Rev. W.M.Scheuermann. Dorothy Lucille was born Oct. 15, 1932, at the home of her parents, Leroy Reece"Roy"McWilliams and Lucille May Littejohn, in Garfield Township, Mahaska County. She met the love of her life, Donald Lee Visser, at a 4-H meeting in 1948. They were married March 5, 1950, at the United Methodist Church in Oskaloosa by Rev. W.M.Scheuermann. She attended Six Mile School and Oskaloosa High School. Dorothy loved shopping for material to make lap blankets, baby blankets, quilts and giving them to children and adults. She loved playing and buying things for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also, she loved working on her family history. Paul Brooks guided Dorothy to the Lord as her savior. She belonged to the Union Liberty Church for many years. She was baptized in our Lord, death and resurrection and is with his now. Don't be sad, she is with her parents, "Roy" and Lucille McWilliams; her sister, Martha Marie McWilliams, who died, May 31, 1946; and her brother, Jerry Lee McWilliams, who died Dec. 25, 2011. Her surviving family includes, husband Donald of 62 years; their six daughters, Mrs. Christine(Howard"Dennis")Stoffa of Ankeny, Ms. Connie Visser of Pella, Mrs. Cindy(Richard"Rick")Waits of Pella, Mrs. Carol(Randal"Randy")Rozenboom of Bussey, Mrs. Coleen(Merlin)Bueltel of Fremont and Mrs. Cheryl(Larry)Main of Moravia; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary McWilliams of Summerville, Ore.; a brother, Keith(Betty)McWilliams of Oskaloosa; and two neices and two nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:30 am Friday at Garland-Van Arkel-Langkamp Funeral Chapel; with Pastor Homer McBeth and Rev. Paul Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Beacon Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 am today at the funeral chapel with the family present from 5-7 pm to greet visitors. As was her wish, her casket will be closed.
