Description	:	Dorothy Luella Richardson was born September 24, 1909 in Kellogg, Iowa, to Edward Llewellyn (Ed) Antle and Edna Mable Stieglitz Antle . She attended country schools and graduated from Kellogg High School and continued her education at Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. Following her graduation she taught Country Schools in Jasper County. Read More	Dorothy Luella Richardson was born September 24, 1909 in Kellogg, Iowa, to Edward Llewellyn (Ed) Antle and Edna Mable Stieglitz Antle . She attended country schools and graduated from Kellogg High School and continued her education at Iowa State Teachers College at Cedar Falls. Following her graduation she taught Country Schools in Jasper County. On March 23, 1934, she married Ralph Richardson at their farm home south of Kellogg where she lived until 1986 when she became a resident of Friendship Manor in Grinnell. To this union was born two sons, Earl and Dale. Dorothy was an active member of her community. She belonged to the Killduff United Methodist Church, she was a past Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, a member of the Richland Grange, the Kellogg Garden Club, Home and Community Club and the WSCS. She loved to sew and made many of her own clothes. She loved her flowers and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. On Thursday afternoon, August 26th Dorothy died at Grinnell Regional Hospital from complications following hip surgery. She had lived 89 years 11 months and 2 days. Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons and daughter-in-law, Earl and Mary Richardson of rural Killduff and Dale Richardson of Sterling, Illinois, three grandchildren and their spouses, Jeff and Lisa Richardson, Kellogg, Jim and Jolie Gardiner, Des Moines and Penny Richardson, Sterling, Illinois. Three Great Grandchildren, Robert Richardson and Kayla and Kyle Richardson. One sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Clare Luse, Bentonville, Arkansas and Special Friends, Pete and Marilyn Shuler of Lynnville, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ralph in 1981 and three grandchildren.
