Description	:	Funeral services for Dorothy L. McCain, age 91, of Norfolk, will be held Tuesday May 31, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Norfolk. Rev. Dr. James Brewer will officiate with burial in the Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery in Norfolk. Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 P.M. at Brockhaus-Howser-Fillmer Funeral Home in Norfolk. (Petersen) McCain, daughter of Andrew and Anna (Reihart) Petersen was born on January 26, 1920 at Madison, Nebraska. She attended Madison High School. On March 2, 1941 she married Ralph McCain at Osceola, Nebraska. Two children were born to them, Sharyn and Carolyn. Dorothy lived in Madison, Nebraska, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Bartlett, Nebraska, before moving to Norfolk, Nebraska In 1950. She was a loving Grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Norfolk, Nebraska. She is survived by her daughters, Sharyn Hjorth of Norfolk, NE, and Carolyn and husband Rick Harmeier of Norfolk, NE; grandchildren, Erick and wife Kristi Harmeier, Christopher Harmeier, Amanda Hjorth and fiance' Joseph Richardson, Sarah Hjorth; six great-grandchildren, Shaylynn Harmeier, Payton Harmeier, Noah Harmeier, Griffen Samperi, Kortni Richardson and Andrew Hjorth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McCain; one granddaughter, Stacy Hjorth; one great-grandson, Austin Harmeier; two brothers; and two sisters.
