Description	:	ARCADIA, Calif. — Dorothy M. Retzlaff, 92, of Arcadia, Calif., passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, with her two daughters by her side. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Mamre Evangelical Free Church Cemetery near Marquette, with the Rev. Bill Stearns officiating. Retzlaff, 92, of Arcadia, Calif., passed away peacefully Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, with her two daughters by her side. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at the Mamre Evangelical Free Church Cemetery near Marquette, with the Rev. Bill Stearns officiating. Solt-Wagner Funeral Home of Central City will be in charge of local arrangements. Dorothy was born May 17, 1923, near Marquette to Alfred and Amanda Sanderson. She was the youngest of 13 brothers and sisters plus two cousins raised by her parents. After finishing high school in Marquette, Dorothy worked in Central City as well as Grand Island. She married Rollin Retzlaff of Central City and soon moved to Omaha. Then in 1958, Dorothy and her husband, Rollin, along with their two young daughters moved to Southern California. Dorothy began to work in real estate for the Arcadia Board of Realtors and SREA Market Data Center, a national real estate appraisal company. While with SREA, Dorothy traveled extensively visiting 48 of the 50 states plus Canada and Mexico. Dorothy was also very active in the Altrusa Club of Arcadia, a national business women’s service organization, where she was president from 1982 to 1984. She enjoyed all her jobs in the business field, working until her retirement at 80 years of age and taking care of her lovely home in Arcadia. Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Connie Bloem and Wendy Landry, both of Carlsbad, Calif., and one granddaughter, Tamara Ginn of Carlsbad, Calif.
