Mrs. Erdman worked as a secretary for the Army Corps of Engineers and later was an insurance underwriter for General Insurance Co. in Seattle in the 1930s. Her husband, Alexander J., died in 1996. Mrs. Erdman helped establish the Vancouver Symphony Association. She was a member of Delphian, a women's study club, and Royal Oaks Country Club. Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Hood and Janice Bleakney; two sons, Russell and Gordon; and four grandsons. A celebration of her life will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church. There will be a private burial. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
