Pleasant, Iowa, died Thursday, May 14, 2009, at the Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine, Texas. Visitation will begin after 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening. Pleasant, Iowa, with the Rev. Joseph Phung celebrant. Interment will be in the St. Alphonsus Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Alphonsus Catholic Church and Mooseheart. Local survivors include a daughter, Fredine (Stanley) Purvis of Silvis, Ill.; two grandsons, Dennis (Kathy) Purvis of Moline, and Darryl Purvis of Hillsdale, Ill.; one granddaughter, Angela Purvis of Silvis, Ill.; along with two great-granddaughters and one great-great-grandson.
