Description	:	Dorothy Mae Johnston was born on December 20, 1921 to William Edmund and Martha C. (Kohlhof) Shrader on the farm rural Ewing, Nebraska. Dorothy passed away February 2, 2014 at her home in Clearwater, Nebraska. Dorothy graduated with the Class of 1939 from Ewing (NE.) High School. On December 20 1941 she married Archie E. Johnston in Ewing, Nebraska. She was a homemaker, bank teller at Citizen State Bank, Clearwater, Nebraska for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, birds, and playing cards. (Kohlhof) Shrader on the farm rural Ewing, Nebraska. Dorothy passed away February 2, 2014 at her home in Clearwater, Nebraska. Dorothy graduated with the Class of 1939 from Ewing (NE.) High School. On December 20 1941 she married Archie E. Johnston in Ewing, Nebraska. She was a homemaker, bank teller at Citizen State Bank, Clearwater, Nebraska for 18 years. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, birds, and playing cards. Dorothy and Archie liked to square dance and travel. Spending time with her family was very important to her. She was member of Jolly Workers Club, United Methodist Presbyterian Church Ewing, Nebraska church for 67 years and Women Missionary. She volunteered with 4-H, blood bank, and community fundraisers. Dorothy is survived by: daughters, Sharon Strope of Huntsville, Alabama, Marilyn and her husband Keith Yoder, of Carmel, Indina and Barbara and husband Ken Conte of Plano, Texas; 9 grandchildren and their spouses; 17 great grandchildren; sisters, Mary Lou Wettlaufer of O'Neill, Nebraska and Betty Gunter of Orchard, Nebraska. Preceded in death by: parents and husband, Archie Johnston; sisters, Ruth Ann and Alice and brothers, Willie and Eddy. Funeral Services for Dorothy M. Johnston were at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at United Methodist-Presbyterian Church, Ewing, Nebraska with Rev Stuart Davis, Officiated. Burial was in Orchard Hill Cemetery, Orchard, Nebraska.
