She graduated from Austin (Minnesota) High School and attended two years of business school in Austin, Minn. She married Allen Clausen on Nov. 9, 1941, and they later moved to South Dakota. Survivors include one sister, Norma Zellinger of Grand Rapids, Mich.; one daughter, Jean Taylor of Aberdeen, S.D.; one son and daughter-in-law, James and Susan Clausen of Alpine; her grandchildren, Christy Taylor of Watertown, S.D., Becky Leidholdt of Aberdeen, S.D., Jeremy Clausen and Matthew Clausen of Alpine; her great-grandchildren, David, Jordan, Malerie, Courtney, Dylan, Bodie, Olivia, Branden, Gregory and Crystal; and her great-great-grandchildren, Jazmine and Zadyn. The family said, "We wish to express our grateful appreciation to Dr. Sanchez, the staff at the hospital, Dr. Parsons and the staff at his clinic, friends at Alpine Manor and the Sunshine House, and a special thanks to those of you who touched her life. She loved you all."
