Kerr Beem passed away Sunday, April 25, 1999. She was born Sept. 5, 1928 ib Billings to margaret and Dennis Warren, the youngest of three children. She raised her four children, Jimmy, Danny, Linda, and Kenny in Laurel. After the kids graduated from high school, Dorothy moved to Oxnard, CA., where she attended college and went to work on the naval base as a paycheck clerk. In 1990 she returned to Billings to be near her children. Dorothy was a very devoted mother. She was actively involved with every aspect of her children's lives, whether it was just sitting and listening to their many adventures, playing games, attending school activities, or riding Harley Davidsons and trying hard to be brave. She led by example. She was a very compassionate and giving person. When the boys were in the service overseas, she sent goodies to them and always included extras for thier buddies. She was famous for her Christmas candies. She was always willing to assist her friend and neighbors. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Linda Kienow; two husbands, Merlin (Bud) Kerr and Robert Beem; and brother, Edmond Warren. She is survived by her sister, Janet Warren Dennett of Hysham; three sons: Jimmie Kerr and his wife, Carrie of Billings, Danny Kerr and Kenny Kerr of Laurel. She is also survived by seven granddaughter, three grandsons, and four great-granddaughters. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 29, 1999, at Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel. Visitation, Wednesday, April 28, from 12 to 9 p.m. at the Smith Funeral Chapel.
