Description	:	Dorothy "Dot" Wright Tingler, 90 of Kernersville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 31, 2015. Dorothy was born September 22, 1924 in New Castle, Virginia. She worked at Piedmont Triad International Airport for many years as well as being the hostess for Captain Tom's Seafood in Kernersville, North Carolina for 30+ years before retiring at age 80. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert (Bobby) Tingler; granddaughter Sherry Synan; parents Hezzie and Grace Wright; and her brothers Bill and Ashby Wright. ... Dorothy was born September 22, 1924 in New Castle, Virginia. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Donna Tingler of Kernersville, North Carolina; daughter, Betty Tingler of Fredericksburg, Virginia; two grandsons, Melvin Synan of Fredericksburg, Virginia, Jody Tingler and his wife, Kady, of Kernersville, North Carolina; granddaughter, Ronni Lynn Tingler of Richmond, Virginia; three great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Deanna Williams of Fredericksburg, Virginia, and Katherine Wolk of Kernersville, North Carolina. Also surviving are her sisters, Inas Loan of New Castle, Virginia, Emma Donahue of Salem, Virginia, Joyce Slaydon of Roanoke, Virginia; sister and brother-in-law, Geneva "Sis" and Jack Abbott of Sumter, South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Graveside Services will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Huffman Memorial Park with Pastor Kevin Altizer officiating. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Paitsel Funeral Home.
