The Surls Funeral Home in Iowa Falls was in charge of the arrangements. Dorothy I. Hale, was born on May 3, 1914 in Fort Dodge, the daughter of Leon and Mae (Ramsden) Osmanson. She graduated from the Iowa Falls High School and the Ellsworth Music Conservatory. Dorothy was united in marriage to Roger Hale on September 4, 1938 in Nebraska. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church and the Etude Club. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Dee Ann Olsen and husband, Ken of Spickard, Missouri; three sons, Tom and wife, Judy of Holiday, Florida, Bob and wife, Lorrie of St. Louis Park, Minnesota and John and wife, Lori of Alden; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lee Osmanson of Omaha, Nebraska; and a sister-in-law, Betty Osmanson of Omaha. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Roger; a brother, Roger; a sister, Evelyn Rosien; brother-in-law, Richard Rosien; sister-in-law, Donna Osmanson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Richard and Margo Hale; and a brother and sister in infancy. © Iowa Falls Times Citizen 2008
