Dorothy Sophia Testroet was born on April 4, 1925 in Gray, Iowa, the daughter of Theodore & Florence (Schlichte) Testroet. She graduated from Gray Consolidated High School in the Class of 1945. Dorothy moved to Audubon where she lived for 12 years. Dorothy was united in marriage to Adrian Joseph Malget on May 24, 1948 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Audubon. They lived at Waukon and later moved to Oelwein in 1964. Dorothy worked for Interior Decorating and later at Fareway in Oelwein for 20 years, retiring in 1986. She had been a resident at Arlington Place in Oelwein and later at the Oelwein Health Care Center since December 28, 2010. Dorothy was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was formerly a member of the Sacred Heart Senior Citizens, Sacred Heart Quilters and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Rita #321. Dorothy is survived by her Son: Ted (Judy) Malget of Oelwein; Daughter: Mary (Richard) Goedken of Dundee; 6 Grandchildren: Jennifer (Dave) Neira, Mike Malget, Kristin Malget, Katie Goedken, Kayla Goedken, & Chris (Brandy) Goedken and 5 Great Grandchildren: Mason Malget, Aaron Malget, Conner Neira, Sam Neira & Sawyer Goedken. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Theodore & Florence Testroet, Husband: Adrian on April 26, 2011 and 3 Brothers: John Testroet, Pete Testroet & Edwin Testroet.
