Abilene Reflector-Chronicle Tuesday, February 8, 2011 DOROTHY V. SANDRSON Sedgwick - Dorothy V. Sanderson 86, former Solomon resident died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2011, at the Sedgwick Health Care, Sedgwick. She was born Aug. 10, 1924, at Abilene, the daughter of William and Rose (Mauldin) Ike. She grew to womanhood in the community of her birth, attended the local schools and graduated from high school. On July 19, 1969, she married Buddy James Sanderson in Taft, Calif. They moved to Solomon in 1994 to make their home. Mr. Sanderson preceded her in death on Dec. 1, 1999. Dorothy was a self-employed hairdresser for over 40 years, and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Salina. Survivors include one son, Lanny Parsons of Enterprise; brothers, William and Richard Ike of Hanford, Calif.; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and other relatives. Besides her husband Buddy, she was preceded in death by one son. Private graveside services were at 3 p.m. Feb. 7, at the Prairie Mound Cemetery in Solomon, with the Rev. Jack Craig officiating. The Carlson-Becker Funeral Home in Solomon was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the Seventh Day Adventist Church and left at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.mbcfh.com.
