Description	:	Dorothy Trent Dorothy Dickinson Trent, 84, of Spotsylvania County died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at Mary Washington Hospital. A Spotsylvania native, she had been a resident of Carriage Hill Nursing Home for 14 years, where she was an encouragement to other residents and enjoyed playing the piano. In spite of being a polio victim at a very early age, she went on to graduate from Chancellor High School and Mary Washington College and was a secretary at the FMC plant for 14 years. Read More	Dorothy Trent Dorothy Dickinson Trent, 84, of Spotsylvania County died Sunday, Nov. 21, 1999, at Mary Washington Hospital. A Spotsylvania native, she had been a resident of Carriage Hill Nursing Home for 14 years, where she was an encouragement to other residents and enjoyed playing the piano. In spite of being a polio victim at a very early age, she went on to graduate from Chancellor High School and Mary Washington College and was a secretary at the FMC plant for 14 years. Mrs. Trent, a member of Zoan Baptist Church, was the widow of Willis H. Trent. She was a national board member of the American Youth Symphony & Chorus, which sponsored European goodwill concerts. Mrs. Trent, mother of the late Kay Trent Titus, a Latin teacher at Courtland High School, was instrumental in establishing a yearly scholarship fund for an outstanding Latin student, after her daughter died in a car accident in 1991. Survivors include two brothers, James K. "Trigger" Dickinson Jr. of Spotsylvania and Eugene A. Dickinson of Stafford County; and several nieces and nephews. No funeral is planned. Mrs. Trent's body was donated to the Virginia Anatomical Division in Richmond for research.
