Description	:	Mrs. Orie Fylstra, nee Dorothy Warntjes, was born at Sioux Center, October 23, 1915. She was the fifth child born to John and Martha Warntjes, nee De Zeeuw. As an infant she was baptized in the Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center. In the early part of 1920 she moved with her parents and family to the Hull vicinity. In 1927 she again moved with the family to the Boyden vicinity. There she was married to Orie Fylstra on October 7, 1936. Read More	Mrs. Orie Fylstra, nee Dorothy Warntjes, was born at Sioux Center, October 23, 1915. She was the fifth child born to John and Martha Warntjes, nee De Zeeuw. As an infant she was baptized in the Central Reformed Church of Sioux Center. In the early part of 1920 she moved with her parents and family to the Hull vicinity. In 1927 she again moved with the family to the Boyden vicinity. There she was married to Orie Fylstra on October 7, 1936. To this union were born three children, Marilyn (Mrs. Dave Jacobsma) of Boyden; Ronald in U. S. Navy and Jean at home. She and her husband made confession of their faith in the Christian Reformed Church during the pastorate of Dr. R. L. Haan. On January 17th Mr. and Mrs. Fylstra and family became members of the American Reformed Church where Mrs. Fylstra was already a member of the Guild for Christian Service and the Sunday School. She became critically ill on January 8, 1960 and died on January 17, 1960 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Sioux City at the age of 44 years, 2 months and 24 days. She is survived by her husband, three children and two grandchildren. Also surviving are four brothers, John of Hull, Henry of Sheldon, Richard of Sioux Center, Walter of Boyden and one sister, Henrietta (Mrs. John P. Westra) of Hull. She was preceded in death by her father in 1948 and mother in 1956. Sioux County Index 1960-01-28.
