He was born June 21, 1927 in Pine Bluff, AR to the late Walter E. and Bertha Farris Sutterfield. He was a retired traveling salesman for Corley Manufacturing Co. of Chattanooga, TN selling individual sawmill machinery for 35 years, a retired cattle rancher who pioneered the Charolais cattle business in Yell County, a member of the First Baptist Church, Plainview, serving as past Sunday School Director, men's teacher, Board of Directors and Deacon. He was a past director of Arkansas State Police youth ranches, a 32nd degree Mason, Imperial Shriner, NRA member, Army Veteran of Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Carl and Ferrell Sutterfield. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rebecca Faye Morrison Sutterfield; sons and daughter-in-law; five grandchildren; brother and wife; two sisters and their husbands. Funeral services were held at the Cornwell Chapel in Dardanelle with Rev. Bill Storts officiating. Interment was in Brearley Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR.
