Description	:	He was born June 4, 1925 at Jamestown, the son of Dorsey Hazen Doyle and Pearl L. Fischer Doyle. He was the younger of two boys and they have two sisters. Their father died in 1934. Their Mother passed away July 20, 1983, after a long illness. Too young for military duty when World War II broke out, he went to work in a west coast foundry. Read More	He was born June 4, 1925 at Jamestown, the son of Dorsey Hazen Doyle and Pearl L. Fischer Doyle. He was the younger of two boys and they have two sisters. Their father died in 1934. Their Mother passed away July 20, 1983, after a long illness. Too young for military duty when World War II broke out, he went to work in a west coast foundry. In 1943, when he attained the age of 18 years, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He transferred to a Seabee Unit, Ninth Naval Construction Battalion, and served on the Hawaiian Islands, Marshall Islands, the Marianas and on Okinawa in the Ryukyu Islands until he was discharged in December 1945. Back from the service, he was ticket agent for Northland Greyhound in Jamestown, then drove bus for Swanson Bus Lines and then was employed by a plumbing and heating concern in Jamestown until joining the postal service. The partner who carried so much of the family load during the past busy thirty years is the former Marilyn M. Burton, who was reared at Bonilla, South Dakota. They were married September 4, 1953, at Jamestown, where they have since made their home. They are affiliated with the Presbyterian Church. Their family includes two sons, Michael and Mitchel; two daughters, Michelle and Maureen; and three grandchildren. Raised in Jamestown Lodge No. 6, December 11, 1963, he was Worshipful Master in 1968-69 and was President of the Past Masters' Club. He continues to serve on the Masonic Park Board at Jamestown. For four (4) years he served as District Deputy Grand Lecturer and as Chairman for the Masonic College for a like period. He also is Grand Representative of South Africa near the Grand Lodge of North Dakota. Grand Master of Masons in North Dakota in 1982 -1983.
