Rev. R. F. Gronewold officiated. Mrs. Malvin Martensen was organist and accompanied Mrs. Otto Koranda and Mrs. Hans Ahrendsen, vocalists. Interment was in the Wyoming cemetery. Casketbearers were Merlin Ahrendsen, Norman Ahrendsen, Lowell Ahrendsen, Ivan Mader, Donald Zaruba and Robert Nissen. Born In Germany Dora Nissen, daughter of Hans and Wilhemena Frcese Knutsen, was born Sept. 15, 1878, in Schlgswig-Holstein, Germany, coming to this country at the age of four. She married Henry Nissen, Elvira, Aug. 4, 1900. They established their home on a farm near Hale where they lived many years, and moved to Wyoming in 1930. She died Thursday morning, July 4, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. August Ahrendsen, at Olin Her husband preceded her in death in 1949. She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church of Wyoming for many years. Survivors Told She is survived by her son, Marvin, Wyoming; daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Viola) Bader, Wyoming; Mrs. Frank (Esther) Zaruba, Anamosa; Mrs. August (Irma) Ahrendsen, Olln. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; one brother and three sisters.
