Douglas Reikofski, son of Albert and Ellen Reikofski, was born August 2, 1934, at Tilden, Nebraska. He graduated from Tilden High School. Doug served in the United States Army. He married Phyllis Sharples at Tilden, Nebraska. They later divorced. Doug was blessed with six children, Kevin, Jeanne, Rick, Galen, Roger, and Greg. Doug was a race car lover. He did track work for many races for several years and was very good at his job. The race car drivers loved him and he was well acquainted with many of them. Doug was also a big Husker fan and watched all the games. He loved little children and always had a dollar in his pocket to give to them. Doug resided at Norfolk Veterans Home for the past three years and was very friendly to everyone. Doug was a member of the Lutheran faith. He loved Jesus and is happily in Heaven with his Savior, parents, and others that were dear to him. Doug is survived by his children; grandchildren; and sisters, Carol Osborn of Plainview, Nebraska and Mary Siefert Guerara of Lee’s Summit, Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Gary Siefert; and niece, Valorie Siefert.
