Description	:	Douglas Manker Willis, of Early Branch, SC, entered into his eternal rest on the evening of June 25, 2013, Born April 21, 1925 in Hampton County, he was the son of the late Truth Verene Willis and Gertie Bell Gibson Willis. Mr. Willis served his country in World War II in the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a timber contractor and a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for over 60 years, was a member of the Gideons International and the American Legion Post 108. Read More	Douglas Manker Willis, of Early Branch, SC, entered into his eternal rest on the evening of June 25, 2013, Born April 21, 1925 in Hampton County, he was the son of the late Truth Verene Willis and Gertie Bell Gibson Willis. Mr. Willis served his country in World War II in the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart. He was a timber contractor and a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for over 60 years, was a member of the Gideons International and the American Legion Post 108. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ramona Taylor Willis; son, Jeff A. Willis and wife Rhonda of Early Branch; daughter, Rachel V. Willis of Early Branch; six grandchildren: Hannah Willis Rustin and husband Charlton, Rhett Willis and wife Sara, Joshua, Sarah, Christine and Caleb Willis; 5 great grandchildren and a family friend Todd Hancock. He was predeceased by 3 infant sons, one brother, Laverne Willis and two sisters, Nell Cook and Skippy Ginn. Funeral services will be held June 30, 2013, at 3 PM in the Sand Hill Baptist Church, conducted by Rev. George Skinner, Rev. James Porter and Rev. Todd Hancock. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, with Military Honors.
