Goldberg Jr., 71, a retired dentist; died Thursday night at a Bennettsville Hospilal after a long illness. Graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memorial Park, directed by Whilner Funeral Home, Dr. Goldberg was born in Marlboro County, a son of Mrs. Margaret Cobb Goldberg and the late Dr. Edward H. Goldberg. He was a graduate of the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond and practiced dentistry for 40 years in Bennettsville. He was a veteran of World War II, where he served in Ihe Pacific theater. He was a charter member of the Bennettsville Rotary Club and a member of the South Carolina Dental Association. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sue Gravitt Goldberg; a son, Edward H. Goldberg III of Bennettsville; his mother of Bennettsville; a brother, Cobb R. Goldberg of Bennettsville; and five grandchildren.
