Elm-st, Lima dentist for nearly 40 years, died at 8:45 p.m. Wednesday in Memorial hospital. Immediate cause of death was a cerebral hemorrhage, altho Dr. Brunk had been in failing health for several months. Dr. Brunk was a member of Trinity Methodist church and was on the staff of Memorial hospital. His other affiliations were the American Dental-assn, Northwest Ohio Dental-assn, Lima Dental Research club, Farmers club, Shawnee Country club, Lima club, Elks lodge, Men's Garden club, Lima lodge No. 205 F and A.M., Lima chapter No. 49; Lima council No. 20, Shawnee commandery Knights Templar, Toledo, 32nd degree Mason. Surviving are his widow, Hazel M.; two sons, Dr. W. L. Brunk, 215 Westwood-dr; Carl H., 319 S. Rosedale-av; a daughter, Mrs. W. T. Stewart, 1805 Oakland-pkwy, five grandchildren; five brothers, Dr. L. P. Brunk, 1558 W. High-st; Drs. Andrew S. and Clifford F., both of Detroit, Mich.; Dr. Henry J., Lake Wales, Fla., and Loyd S., Indian River, Mich.; two sisters, Mrs. O. Glen Brenneman, La Fountaine, Ind., and Mrs. Etta Stutzman, Elida. The body will remain in the Davis-Miller and Son funeral home until services at 2 p.m. Saturday. Dr. J. Ira Jones, pastor of Trinity church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery. (published in The Lima News, Thursday, February 15, 1951)
