Description	:	Out of his son William Miller journal, My father George Miller was born in France in the town of Weitersville, Alsace on April 23, 1812. He came to America when he was 25 years old. He was a Physician, but being strong, hardy ,robust people .he was jovial and of happy disposition and light of complection . Read More	Out of his son William Miller journal, My father George Miller was born in France in the town of Weitersville, Alsace on April 23, 1812. He came to America when he was 25 years old. He was a Physician, but being strong, hardy ,robust people .he was jovial and of happy disposition and light of complection . He passed throgh the sunshine and shadows of life without murmuring or finding fault. He was a religious turn of mind, never spoke in levity about heavenly things. I can look back over the long stretch of years and recall may kind acts,and care and solicitude for his wife and his children. We did not appreciate his goodness then, but he was one of God's noblemen ! His parents were of catholic faith. He was raised in that faith, but seemed not to run in the old ruts of Cathelicism, but took the privilege of thinking for himself. After a few years he was brought to account by Catholic authorities , but for the want of something better, or rather as a drowning man grasping at straws, my father joined the Masons, and for that he was excommunicated from the catholic church. He embraced the faith on his deathbed . He died July 13, 1893 being 81 years, 2 months, 20 days of age.
