Description	:	Albany - Aug. 19 -- Dr. H. H. Baker died Friday evening in a Columbus hospital at the age of 47 years. He had been ill six months three weeks of which time he was confined in the hospital. Empyema was the cause of death. The body will arrive at his home here Sunday noon from Columbus and funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Hebbardsville church and interment in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call at the residence Monday between the hours of 10 and 12 o'clock in the morning. Dr. Baker was the son of H. L. Baker of the Baker Settlement, who died in April. Dr. Baker was born and reared in the Baker Settlement. He graduated at the Ohio Medical college and practiced his profession in Newark for 15 years. He spent one year in the Philippines as president of the Board of Health at Manila. Three years ago he suffered an attack of influenza from which he never regained his health and a year ago last spring he gave up his practice at Newark and came to Albany where he was able to continue an office practice until six months ago. His wife, who survives, also his brother, E. E. Baker of Texas were with him at the time of death. (The Athens Messenger, Saturday, August 19, 1922)
