| Description | : | James Easton Jr. was the son of black Revolutionary war soldier James Easton Sr. and Sarah Dunbar. He was the grandson of black Revolutionary soldier Sampson Dunbar. In 1814, James Easton Jr., his brother Joshua Easton, and their father James Easton Sr. founded the iron forge and trading company "James Easton & Sons" on the Easton family homestead in North Bridgewater (now Brockton) along Salisbury brook.
