Description	:	"Prominent Weston Man Died Friday Dr. James F. Woita was born August 17, 1895, in Weston, Nebr. After graduating from high school he taught for few year in rural schools. He enlisted in World War I. He attended Creighton university, and Dental college in Denver. On July 20, 1921 he received his certificate and was licensed as a dentist. On Jan. 30, 1922 he was united in marriage to Rose Pop. They made their home in Weston where he had been practicing until his sudden departure on Friday, Sept. 12. After graduating from high school he taught for few year in rural schools. He enlisted in World War I. He attended Creighton university, and Dental college in Denver. On July 20, 1921 he received his certificate and was licensed as a dentist. On Jan. 30, 1922 he was united in marriage to Rose Pop. They made their home in Weston where he had been practicing until his sudden departure on Friday, Sept. 12. Dr. Woita was very active in civic affairs, being a member of the Weston school board for 22 years, served as a volunteer fireman for many years, was recently elected Commander of the Weston American Legion Post, and served on the Weston church board for 16 years. His father preceded him in death on April 9, 1940. He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Rose, his mother, Mrs. Antoinette Woita of Weston, one brother, Leon of Weston, two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Knipple of Crete, N.D. and Mrs. Helen Fearn of Omaha, and many other relatives and a host of friends. Funeral services were held Monday at 10 o'clock from St. John's Nep. church at Weston, with a solemn high mass offered by Rev. Otto Ekhaml of Weston, with Rev. George Livanec of Morse Bluff as deacon, Rev. Kolar of Appleton as sub-deacon. Also assisting were Rev. Rezabek of Valparaiso, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Francis Kopecky of Lawrence. Sermons were delivered by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Victor P. Mlejnek of Dwight and Rt. Rev. Msgr. Matthew W. Nemec of Wahoo. Interment was at St. John's cemetery at Weston. Pallbearers were F. E. Woita, Joe Woita, C. B. Woita, Joe Spicka, Joe Petrzelka, and Chas. Woita. Honorary pallbearers were Louis Pascal, George Machacek, Louis Frohner, Frank Meduna, Johnny Cejka, and Adolph Jansa.
