Dr. Clore was predeceased by his mother and father, Dr. & Mrs. Jesse N. Clore of Madison, Virginia and sisters, Mrs. Walkley E. Dr. Clore is survived by his wife, Thelma Clore, sons John Clore of Richmond, Virginia, Cris Clore of Laytonsville, Maryland and daughter Letitia Clore of Tuscon, Arizona, and four grandchildren. Dr. Clore was a graduate of Hampden-Sydney College and University of Virginia Medical School and a Diplomate of American Board of Radiology. He served in the United States Navy during World War II on the U.S.S. Leedstown and participated in the Pacific invasions including Guam, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. Dr. Clore served as President of the Staff of Winchester Medical Center, Jefferson Memorial Hospital and St. Luke’s Hospital of Richmond, Virginia. A memorial service will at Westminster-Canterbury on Wednesday, March 24 at 3:00 PM in the Abbey with Reverend Elizabeth Lewis and Reverend Robin Greene officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to SVWC Fellowship Fund or the Dementia Unit of SVWC, 300 Westminster-Canterbury Drive Winchester, Virginia 22603. Arrangements by Omps Funeral Home-Amherst Chapel.
