Description	:	Dr. Kevin Joseph Duling, 49, of Sioux City died Friday, Nov. 7, 2003, at his residence from a brain tumor. Memorial services will be 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Visitation will be 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel, and will resume after 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the church. Kevin was born in Sioux City on Nov. 28, 1953, the son of Dr. Edward and Darlene (Barcal) Duling. He attended Sioux City schools and was a member of the last graduating class from Central High School in 1972. He received a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of South Dakota in 1976. He married Leslie Bryant in Sioux Falls, S.D., in 1977, and worked as a manager for the Edwards/Vision Optical Stores until 1983. Kevin received his doctorate in optometry from the University of Houston in 1988. He became a partner in TKC Exact Eye Care Stores and practiced at the Sioux City location at Fifth and Pierce streets until he retired due to his illness in 2003. He had many interests, including gardening, geology, history, hunting and fishing, exploring and community theater. He avidly followed national and international events. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Leslie of Sioux City; his daughters, Kelly, Ashley and Meredith Duling, all of Sioux City; his father, Dr. Edward Duling of Dakota Dunes, S.D.; a sister, Lesley Russell and her husband, Chris of Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Dan Duling of Sioux City, and Joe Duling and his wife, Lynne of Gregory, S.D.; many nieces and nephews; and Fred.
