Dr. Brinkman was a member of the United Methodist Church, Order of the Eastern State, the Shrine and was a 50 year Mason. He was also a member of the Iowa State Veterinary Assn. and was a former member of the Story - Polk Board of Education, the Colo School Board and City Council. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Harold, Nevada and John, Mason City; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Harms, Milwaukee, Wis.; seven grandchildren and four sisters. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild. Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home, Nevada, Friday evening.
