During this time, when he was a student, he married Corine Luella Redfern on Mar 26, 1903 in Chicago. Sometime during his studies they were divorced and then remarried on Dec. 31, 1906. Unknown how long this marriage lasted. They had one son, Kenneth Sidney Stewart. (Sidney's mother, Corine, married Arthur Joseph Devereux on Feb 12, 1915 in Chicago. Then he was employed by the United Doctors at different offices located in Bloomington and Decatur, IL., Omaha, NE., and Logansport, Muncie and South Bend, & Richmond, IN. through 1912. He later opened an advertising business of his own in Richmond, IN., under the name of the Stewart Medical Company. On WWI draft registration card dated Sept. 12, 1918, he is living in Huntington Co., IN. Lists his wife, Freda Eva Stewart. His occupation was chemist at Huntington Steele & dy. Co. They were listed on the 1920 census in Huntington also with son, Jack W. 1 yr 6/12 mos old. Pierre's occupation was salesman. They were listed in Huntington city directories through 1924. Pierre's 2nd wife was from Antigo, Langlade Co., WI. On the 1930 census, his son Jack is living with his maternal grandparents in WI. and he is living with his mother in Fort Wayne, IN. Pierre is living in Chicago at time of his death in 1931, listed as single, occupation Physician. (Researched and written by Laura J. Stewart.) *********************************** NOTE - In 1902, during the expansion years of the Brown-Kinsey administration of Valparaiso, President Brown purchased the American College of Medicine and Surgery in Chicago from Northwestern University, and later changed the name to the Chicago College of Medicine and Surgery.
