Description	:	He is the son of Nathan and Sarah Marcy Griggs, and the husband of Ellen Day Griggs and Harriet Backus Griggs. He graduated from Brown University and studied medicine at the University Of New York. He was a doctor in Danielson ten years, and in Brooklyn, New York for 41 years. He was a member of the King's County Medical Society and declined the presidency when offered to him. He retired in 1896 and then lived with his daughter, Mrs. Sally Backus Griggs Genung, in Nutley, N.J. He died on February 1, 1901 when, as an invalid, he fell from his chair into...
