Description	:	Died of paralysis at the home of W.F. Davis on this October 22, 1901, Mrs Drusilla Baker Christy, wife of William Christy. She was born in Bartholomew co., Indiana and moved to the county with her parents in early childhood. She united with the Christian church in 1871. Was married to William Christy in 1873. Of this union four children were born, four boys and one girl who with their father mourn the great loss of a wife and mother, for she was a devoted mother and an affectionate wife, and a consistant Christian. She... Read More	Died of paralysis at the home of W.F. Davis on this October 22, 1901, Mrs Drusilla Baker Christy, wife of William Christy. She was born in Bartholomew co., Indiana and moved to the county with her parents in early childhood. She united with the Christian church in 1871. Was married to William Christy in 1873. Of this union four children were born, four boys and one girl who with their father mourn the great loss of a wife and mother, for she was a devoted mother and an affectionate wife, and a consistant Christian. She came to the church to meeting the day she died and after service went to the hall to the birthday dinner of her pastor, feeling as well as common, but in about 30 minutes complained of feeling faint. She was taken to Dr. Davis where she grew worse and died the same evening at 10:20 p.m. Her funeral was preached at the church by her pastor, Rev. Walker, from these words, "Only a step between me and death" after which her remains were followed to the IOOF cem. by a large number of sympathizing relatives and friends, where the body was placed to await the reserrection. But we can say blessed are the dead that die in the Lord.
