Duane was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Plainview, a past member of the Plainview Fire Department of 40 years and was also a Legionnaire. Duane is survived by his wife, Louise; five children and their spouses; 11 grandchildren, one stepgrandchild, two great-grandchildren and three stepgreat-grandchildren. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Margaret Bivens, and by two brothers, Bill Bivens and Don Bivens.
