Read More	The Nelson Gazette (Nelson, NE), Thursday, July 7, 2005; pg. 4 and Funeral Bulletin Duane Dean Coxbill, the son of Max and Lottie (Denney) Coxbill was born October 6, 1934 on a farm in Clay County, Nebraska near Edgar. He departed his life on Monday, July 4, 2005 at his home near Edgar at the age of 70 years. Duane attended school in Edgar and graduated from Edgar High School with the class of 1952. On June 19, 1952 Duane was united in marriage to Verna Duey at Belleville, Kansas. This union was blessed with the birth of four daughters. Duane worked for a short while at the Naval Ammunition Depot in Hastings, NE and was employed at the Davenport Elevator but spent most of his life farming which he dearly enjoyed. Duane retired from farming in 1990. Duane enjoyed raising and taking care of his horses, found pleasure in spending time with his pet cats, but never allowed any of these to diminish his first love that for his wife and family. Duane was very proud of his grandchildren, always finding time for them. He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister. Survivors include his wife Verna of Edgar, NE; daughters Carol Adams and husband Ken of Lincoln, NE; Bonnie Trausch and husband Terry of Lincoln, NE; Sherry Tjarks and husband Randy of Edgar, NE; and Cindy Jo Rieger and husband Mike of Edgar, NE; sister Audrey Harnett of Hastings, NE and brother-in-law Pete Petersen of Edgar, NE; grandchildren Jason and Tricia; Laura and Rollin; Ryan and Scott; Doug and Wanda; Michael; Jennifer and Gary; Missy and Katy; 4 great-grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends. Casket bearers were Scott Trausch, Ryan Trausch, Michael Tjarks, Douglas Tjarks, Jason Adams and Rollin Biel. Music was provided by an organ solo "I Saw The Light" by Vergene Gunn. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, July 6, at the Williams Funeral Home Chapel at Edgar with Pastor Ellen Campbell officiating. Internment was at the Edgar Cemetery at Edgar, NE with Williams Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
