Description	:	Duane E. Frank, 74, of 3805 7th St. N.E., a Navy veteran and retired bar owner, died of natural causes Thursday at a local hospital. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home. A memorial luncheon is 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Eagles Lodge. Survivors include a daughter, Cathy (Larry )Scheer of Phoenix; sons Kim (Max) Frank of Great Falls and Frank (Lori) Fleming of Billings; his mother, Leona Dahl of Great Falls; a stepbrother, Bruce (Ruth) Dahl of Chicago; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Frank, in February 2002; and by a son, Scott Fleming, in 1982. Duane was born July 24, 1930 in Great Falls and was raised in the Great Falls area. He was an aerial engineer in the U.S. Navy, receiving the Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal before being honorably discharged. In 1951, he married Wilma Beauchot in Great Falls; they later divorced. He married Helen Fleming in Glasgow, MT in 1978. Duane worked at the Smelter for a number of years. He was the owner of the Brass Rail Bar for more than 25 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Loyal Order of Moose and American Contract Bridge League. He enjoyed reading, Classical music, bridge, writing poetry, baking, computer card games, camping and fishing. He was great for sharing stories with his family and friends. He loved his family, and especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was a caring man who was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Memorials are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
