His parents were Norman Bert and Rose Edith (Kennard) Saylor. Also preceded in death by all 7 of his siblings, Norman Leo Saylor, Clarys Hunter, Naomi "Virgene" Thomas, Helen Swaim, Betty June Enlow, William "Dent" Saylor and Rexford "Dale" Saylor. He graduated from Waterloo High School and Eastern Pilgrim College. He attended the Ohio Correction/ Ashland Seminary Chaplaincy in Ashland. He served our country in the U.S. Army. He served as a minister in the Wesleyan Church. He was a member of the American Assoc. of Christian Counselors. He was the director of Resage Out-Reach Counseling Ministry and a member of the American Legion. He died at his home in Mansfield. Heinlein-Brown Funeral Home in Logan was in charge of the funeral arrangements. There was military honors at the grave site service by the Combined Color Guard.
